About the Owner

Vaswani”Our society is facing a truly unprecedented situation and we all have a responsibility to ensure we are doing our part in “the good.”Janet Flounory, LLC dba Stepping Stones Therapeutic Solutions of Georgia (SSTSOG) was established in May 2019. From an early age, Janet Flounory has always had a passion for helping others. Being birthed to a father as a pastor and a mother as an adoption worker for Department of Family and Children Services, it seemed inevitable that her career roads would lead to social service. After graduating from high school, Janet quickly obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Once she completed her undergraduate degree, her field work led her in pursuit of a master’s degree in Special Education and a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She worked for over 10 years in education, working specifically with the exceptional population. She assisted children with gaining confidence in their abilities, their parents with understanding how to reach their children educationally, celebrate their successes, and advance to the next level. Teaching provided a doorway for Janet to be able to help individuals and families but was limited in proactive mental health interventions which appeared to be a resounding theme among many children. Seeing this concern, Janet pursed a master’s degree in Human Service Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family therapy. After obtaining this degree, she became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for the State of Georgia. This afforded her an opportunity to work with individuals and families “behind the scenes” to deal with the root of the problem and provide interventions to assist them in using their problems as stepping stones into a better tomorrow.Janet Flounory has an extraordinary way of motivating others to keep a positive attitude despite what seems to be insurmountable obstacles and circumstances. With this God-given gift, Janet founded SSTSOG with the vision to help individuals, families, and our community convert challenges into life-enhancing opportunities. SSTSOG is committed to empowering individuals, families, and our community, regardless of social status, by fostering restitution, relationship, and resilience through consistent and quality therapeutic services.
